Problem with GNOMUIINFO_HELP

Hello everybody.

I understand that gnome library look for help files in Gnome
installation prefix rather than application's installation prefix. So,
if this is correct, I shouldn't use GNOMEUIINFO_HELP item in my menu. Is
there a "best current practise" to avoid this problem, without being
oblidged to install the help file in Gnome prefix? 
I thought I could use the function gnome_help_goto. Could it be a not
too bad workaround?
