Copying text from error dialog boxes

Can the default warning and error dialogs be changed so that the text
can be selected and copied?  Or is there a way to copy the text and I
just didn't find it?

Is this something that can change (has changed?) for the 2.0 alpha
releases... since they'll be generating more of these dialogs?  I've
submitted bug reports and I like to give _exactly_ what was printed so
it's easier to grep for the source of the message.  I just feel silly
manually typing the error and double checking it, especially since I
can  submit command line error messages by just copying from the
terminal.
