Gnome rendering problems on framebuffer device

Hello all!

When i tried to use Gnome (2.2.0.1-1, debian sid) on my SGI 320 (x86,unaccelerated
framebuffer 16bit, Xfree 4.2.1.1) i noticed something strange:

If i setup X with correct color weight (here 556) all antialiased fonts and icons
are missing from gnome-panel and any other gui. Only a part of the battery monitor
symbol is visible. Changing the color weight to the default value 565, everything
look correct... shure except the colors.
Anyone seen this before?

I hope it is ok posting this to gnome-devel-list...
