About the 'save configuration dialog'

Hi,
Reading the blog of Federico Mena-Quintero, about the save configuration
dialog and about HIG
(http://primates.ximian.com/~federico/news-2005-01.html#27), a question
pointed in my mind. Why couldn't we develop a fixed widget for the
saving configuration action? Il is done for the about box.
