Agreed. But it doesn't hurt to define own semantic markup -- and it's
encouraged to write docs this way.

And so do SGML/XML docs ;)
It's much less time consuming to write a nice looking LaTeX/Texinfo
document than an SGML document. Nevertheless to choose SGML as the
document storage format is much much better (ISO standard, etc.).
