Balsa translation question

Hello there!
I'm a newbie in this mailing list and I have had no experience with
translating GNOME. But I tried to translate Balsa in Bulgarian (I'm Bulgarian)
and what did I do:
1)get the anoncvs.gnome.org/cvs/gnome/balsa/po/Attic/balsa.pot
2)renamed it to bg.po
3)translated it
4)got the lastest balsa version
5)msgfmt bg.po -o balsa.mo
6)cp balsa.mo /usr/share/locale/bg/LC_MESSAGES

Many of the menus were translated, but still many strings I've translated are
in English. 
Can you tell me how to translate them?
