Hmm ... that was subtle, Christian. :-)

The longer this thread goes on the, the worse I feel, since I was the
one who started to write some code way back in February for this (and
the above messages references this).

So that I may live with my conscience and sleep at nights this week, I
am sitting in front of my monitor today, typing away like a madman to
add the last remaining piece to a prototype DocBook <-> PO converter.
Never mind that it is a nice, sunny, spring day outside (imagine birds
singing, hardly any breeze, nice coffee shop not twenty metres from my
front door, etc). I will be inside and up to my eyeballs in libxml code
and PO files (yeah, OK, it's my own fault for not finishing it months
ago, but it *really* is a nice day today).

I shall commit something to CVS as soon as possible (tonight hopefully)
so that people can experiment.

[Btw, I have no real bias as to whether PO-format is the "best" way or
not to do this. But it's what the translators want and I know that it
can be generated, so let's suck and see. The XLIFF and TMX
specifications look pretty cool, too. I definitely want to play with
those when I have time.]

Cheers,
Malcolm
