We waited for months for the SVN dump of the repository as the first
step in doing this the 'proper' way. That is, clone the repository and
split the project from that point on, so that history is not lost.
There was no response to this request from the SVN admins for many
months. So we had to eventually take matters into our own hands, and
resolved it the best manner that we found satisfactory.
If anyone wants to head up the effort of this move and do it in the
proper way (ie: without history loss) I'll certainly support your
efforts. But I'm pretty busy (outside of GNOME) for the next couple
months and don't have time to get into this.
Cheers,
Stef Walter
