You're absolutely right. As I'm not an engineer, I find Git too
complicated sometimes, and I'd prefer a simplified approach :)

For instance, Xfce uses a Transifex instance that allows translators
to automatically commit changes with statistics (example:
http://git.xfce.org/apps/parole/commit/?id=6d690b28c4681e41fe8e8065583ff3ca76ea34c4
. To generate this commit I just uploaded my modified file and pressed
a button, but alternatively one can use the web interface to modify
the translation and send it for peer review. So much easier)
