Hello all!

Are we sure gettext and setlocale are POSIX?

I remember the FAQ of some newsgroup saying there are two schemes to get
i18n in some programm. And, because the two have strong adherents, it was
impossible to define some as the standar in POSIX.

The FAQ was about i18n, Unicode and so on. The newsgroup was not related
with free software at all. Sorry, no remember the name.

May be we could ask before tell "GNOME supports POSIX i18n".
