This could be very nice for customising Debian's "menu" package.
Essentially this is a standard format for determining menu files, and
a set of scripts to translate them into all the window
manager/desktop/shell configuration file formats.

Being able to customise one's own ~/.menu/* hierarchy graphically
would be a nice enhancement.
