Hi all !
Got Gnome out of CVS yesterday (990119), it compiled fine.
I just got some troubles with gmc, it seems to segfault when marking a
icon - right click - choose properties.
System:
IBM Thinkpad 380XD PII (some things are a little big on this
display(maximum res 800x600))
Redhat 5.2 - all updates i think
little old E
Here is the gdb:
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/gmc
GNU Midnight Commander 4.5.9

This generally means that the program could not talk to the esound
server

I hope this may help.
