I'm very much decided against adding the [gnome] - it makes things
annoying for most people, for the benefit of a smaller group.

If you are subscribed to something as busy as gnome-list, you really
will be doing yourself a great favor by learning how to filter
it into a separate folder.

As for the Reply-To:, it's less cut-and-dried. But the name of the
option to deal with always adding a Reply-To in the mailer I
use is broken-reply-to...

The big arguments against adding the Reply-To are:

 - it doesn't give people a choice of a wide or a narrow reply
 - it contributes to accidental posts to the list, which can
occasionally be quite embarrassing for people.

I'll keep an eye on the issue, but for now, I think I'll keep
things the way they are as a general policy for the gnome.org
mailing lists. (Though individual list owners can configure
their lists however they want.)

Regards,
                                 Owen
