I have had Helix locking up my computer alot recently as well, most of my
problems were related to the Updater (which a new version has been released
I believe, and I haven't used it yet), although a considerable number of
long hangs and intermittent capplet crashes have sprung up as well. The
updater would literally bring the whole box to a halt, not even allowing me
to telnet in and kill processes.
The updater literally ate all my memory, as I would watch in the System
Monitor as it consumed over 100Mb of RAM...
I haven't taken any action because Im a few updates behind, Im hoping these
updates will fix a few of the problems.
