I hate to reply to my own post, but I just noticed this entry in the
Dropline GNOME ChangeLog:

* Updated GNOME-VFS and the Control Center to fix the Theme Manager 

So perhaps a dropline-installer --upgrade will fix the problem.  I'll
check it out when I'm on my Slack box later tonight.
