i18n, perhaps? internationalisation. i, 18 omitted letters, n :) 
You may also see l10n and even a11y by the same analogy: localisation
and accessibility. i10n and l10n are used as abbreviations by other 
projects. I don't know whether a11y is. I think that one is just 
a Gnome thing. For now... :)
