developer.gnome.org is probably a really bad place
to point new users.
It's more confusing than helpful and has way too
many harmingly
out-of-date docs.
Unfortunately, the gnome website points new users
there by having a link in its navigation bar. And
pages on the wiki point to parts of that too.
What can be done about fixing developer.gnome.org?
The 'Join webhackers' link on the wiki leads to...
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gwh/ which might
itself be out of date.
