hmm, since they are different programs, there is no older version. It
might be that grdesktop supports that and gnome-remote-desktop not.
Could you please file a bug to bugzilla.gnome.org?

g-r-d does not do this, since it's not only for rdesktop, but VNC, X11
also.
as for the other things, please also file bugs for each of them.
