[Gnome-print] Problems with gnome-print 0.24

When I try and use gnumeric 0.57, it wants to display with a font size of 14.
This ends up scaling to 19 with my dps of 1.33333.
In "find_best_x_font" a search is made to find the best weight. This fails
because
there are no X fonts with a point size of 19.
At line 1209 of gnome-rfont.c it appears that someone tried to fix this problem
but the code is ifdeff'ed out.
gnumeric 0.57 is pretty much unusable with this version of gnome-print
