Hello guys,
The GNOME print API is a printing API for imaging, this sounds like
the perfect replacement for the XPrint stuff that is currently missing
from OpenOffice.
The GNOME print API is modeled after PostScript with a few
extensions (and it does have some shortcomings for fine point hacks
that would be device dependent), but all in all it is a pretty good
solution.
It seems like the `xprinter' module is basically a wrapper for an
API based on the X11 Xlib Xprinter server. I wonder what API the
Windows port of OpenOffice uses, because it seems like it would be a
much better starting point for the integration of GnomePrint to use
that.
Best wishes,
Miguel
