My comments ;) :
- your way of doing things breaks the SIP standard which clearly defined the format of SIP URLs. That is a big worry for me, I don't like to break standards.
- The fallback procedure is not really possible as already discussed earlier on this devel mailing list. I also discussed it with Robert from Equivalence and we both concluded that it was not a very good idea for both technical reasons, and feasability reasons. Morevoer, it becomes really complex or not feasible at all in complex situations where the user registers both to a gatekeeper and a proxy. It could work for normal calls though, but not in all cases.
