I have a very clear sound between Windows and Linux systems. Much much
better than with G.729*, G.723.1 codecs. If you are not able to achieve
it, you have problems inside your machine.

Skype hasn't the ability to choose codecs, closed source, own codec.

This is classical PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair).

Yep.
I'm not against GnomeMeeting nor against Skype. Both are cool. But
what I really dislike is pointing that XX is bad, because YY is not
working because of PEBKAC and similiar things.
