Hello,
Thanks for the help. Well about the firewall related settings then I
inspected but no firewall is enabled. But I tried from some other
Windows Machines..And it works but the problem comes related to
accepting the call from other user. Well let me explain the senario that
I did:-
I have one Linux M/C (FC2) with GM, OpenH323, Open MCU installed in my
PC. My PC is on a domain that is having all other computers on Windows.
I did following steps :-
1). Firstly I tried Simple NM--> GM call with listen_port =1740 in
GnomeMeeting by gconf-editor. It gave me the error like: "The person you
called is not able to accept NM calls". That is right b'cas as you told
that NM can accept only for 1720 port.
I tried GM-->NM also with the same settings but I got the message on NM
side that "Could not connect to remote host". Well I tried all the
combinations as:
h323:10.100.112.8:1720,h323:10.100.112.8:1740,h323:10.100.112.8 from my
GM. But the same result.
2). Now I tried the NM-->GM with listen_port=1720. The audio/video
worked fine. But when I tried GM--> NM then I got the same message that
"Could not connect to remote host" on GM side.
Well can you please explain me what is happening here. I am in a totally
confused state.
3). listen_port = 1740. I started openmcu as: openmcu -c -d
as a daemon. It started by showing me the PID and creating an end point.
THen from NM I did:- 10.100.112.25 (Address of MY PC where GM and
OpenMCU are installed). Then I got on console that a room101 has been
created and on NM side I got a message Box like : "waiting for a
response from 10.100.112.25"
Now from GM I tried h323:10.100.112.25:1720 then I got the message
that Remote user is busy. But when I tried h323:10.100.112.25:1740 then
It showed me "connected" on GM side but on NM side the same dialog
"waiting for a response from 10.100.112.25" was there although I got the
message on console that 10.100.112.25 joined the Conference Room101
And in the same senario if I do GM-->NM by h323:10.100.112.8 then it
shows me connected on GM side but nothing happens on NM side.
4). Now the settings were like this: listen_port = 1720
started openmcu -c -d .. started successfully
Started NM .. ok .
But when I started GM then I got the message like this:
"You will not be able to receive incoming calls. Please check that
no other program is already running on the port used by GnomeMeeting."
Then I pressed OK.
And now if I do : h323:10.100.112.8 THen I got connected to the NM user
without the functionality of OpenMCU and was able to have audio/video.
But As I tried through openmcu as
From NM: call to: 10.100.112.25 --> "waiting for a response from
10.100.112.25"
Then from GM:- URL:h323:10.100.112.25 --> Connected ...But nothing
was happening and on NM side the same dialog box regarding waiting was
there.
Well I am totally confused with this whole senario. And I need some help
on openmcu functionality and H.323 end points.
Thanks,
Regards,
Ashutosh Sharma
