Compiling 0.98.5 [was Re: [GnomeMeeting-list] "Error while registering with Gatekeeper"]

Hrm. I've taken a run at compiling a static version of 0.98.5 [many
thanks for the suggestion], and I'm having a persistant issue as

Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated. libxml2-2.5
is definitely being referenced elsewhere, successfully.
