Thanks Damien. When I try the echo test with either sip:613 fwd pulver com or sip:500 ekiga net I get one or two beeps, the announcers slightly scratchy tone .. then nothing. The Statistics graph shows a yellow line like spiking vertically, a horizontal portion at the top until the announcement is finished, then it falls vertically downward. There is also a blue signal at the start but it dies within the first quarter of the time of the yellow one, with about a quarter of its amplitude. gdb gives me the repeated message "(no debugging symbols found)", and 'ekiga -d 4 > ekigadebug_23-6-06.txt' gives me an empty file. I know I'm missing something but I'm not sure what it is. I've come across 'ekiga-debug-2.0.2-2mdv2007.0.i586.rpm' at http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=ekiga-debug which I converted via alien to 'ekiga-debug_2.0.2-3_i386.deb' but can't get to work because libpt-dbg and libopal-dbg are apparently out of date. My currently installed ekiga is running on deb unstable from 'deb http://pkg-voip.buildserver.net/debian unstable main' and www.debian.org - I think that's 2.0.2-4 .. Given the level of interest, would it not be a good idea to update, possibly improve, and incude in general release 'ekiga-debug' from Mandriva ?
