A few more months. Gnome 2.0 desktop and core libs should come out in a
monthish (it's on a "dotplan" page somewhere in developer.gnome.org).
The core gnumeric developers (Jody and company) are doing great progress
moving to this new platform. That's the current focus of the work. They
may answer your email with an answer on the current platform.
