You _saved_ using the experimental XML ??
I'm sorry to say that there is no way to recover. That method is
intended to save in the native xml format but using a faster more
efficient method. It is also incomplete ! Only a small fraction of
the data is saved. The experimental reader should be fine, but the
data loss on export is too great to recover.
That method should have been disabled in the release.

Oh well, luckily I have been exporting it to HTML and XHTML, although
those two weren't as up to date as the main file. I was able to do a
Save As.. in the Experimental XML, if it helps I am using the binary
package from Dropline Gnome (a Slackware Gnome suite/package).
