scrolled window

Hi all,
I have a glade-designed GUI with a scrolled textview window and i want to add 
a button to scroll the window down at the bottom in only one mouse-click.
How can i do this ?
I've already tried to do it with gtk_scrolled_window_set_vadjustment () but it 
didn't work :( 
Can anyone help me ? or as anyone an example to show me how to make it ?
