How about adding a 'count' parameter, to convert a buffer of values? It
could be quite a bit quicker for largish images.

gdk_colorspace_convert (gdouble *src_values,
GdkColorspace src_format,
gdouble *dest_values,
GdkColorspace dest_format,
int pixel_count);
Hope I've not misunderstood.
