GTK Text Rotation

Hi,

Can anyone help me out using GTK+ to develop the
following application? 

The application should draw a line and associate a
text to that line. I am able to draw text and line
seperatelty but could not contain them together. If
the line is rotated the text associated with it also
should rotate.

Any help in this regard is appreciable.
