  So, just did another test.  For GTK_WINDOW_TOPLEVEL +
(fvwm|fvwm2|fvwm95), it works.  No other combinations seems to work,
unfortunately.  Doesn't work for metacity, twm, mwm, and window maker.
  If is unfortunate to have this feature documented in GTK+ but not
implemented.
  In my case, I'm really interested in gravity with popup windows. 
Should I attempt to prepare a patch for GTK+ to implement this?  This
should be in the GDK layer, right?
