Hi,
A couple thoughts -
- I would expect the long-term goal to be that you don't use the
UI manager directly much, you just deal with the main window.
In fact I'd say even at the cost of some redundant API the
demo probably shouldn't use the UI manager.
To do this fully (handle add_widget and thus merging)
I'd expect we need the dock widget though.
- who has reviewed the Qt/KDE API and compared lines of code
involved to create the menus? Qt is usually a good metric
for whether the API is simple enough.
