[gtktextview] Too slow on win32

Hello,
GtkTextView is too slow on win32 (I'm new on the list, sorry if already
discussed.)
It takes about 2 seconds to move cursor on my Celeron-600,
and 6 seconds using GtkSourceView (derived from GtkTextView).
Using X backend speed is acceptable.
It makes the widget almost unusable. Has anyone researched what are the
reasons? Any ideas?
