GdkScroll?

Can anyone give me a simple example of how to expose and use a GdkScroll
event in a GtkWidget?

I want to implement this in the GtkScintilla2 widget (for Gnome 2.0) as
mouse wheel scrolling doesn't work.

If there is a simple example in an already existing Gtk or GNOME widget,
please can you let me know which one (and which .tar.gz I should
download) and I'll "use the source"!
