Windows is running out of resources (probably GDI). This used to happen  
relatively quickly under Win9x so I guess you're probably using this.

Upgrade to a more recent version of Gtk+ (2.6.x was the last to run  
under Win 9x if I recall correctly) and fix any resource leaks in your  
own code.
