GTK 1.3 Windows problems *after a while*

Hi,
I don't know if this will ring a bell, but I certainly hope so.
Looking through archives, I haven't been able to find an answer to this...

Using GTK 1.3.0 under Windows, I use the application, and after a long time of using it, it will eventually (but not always) begin to behave badly, icons will begin to disapper, and the application will become unusable...

Something tells me it has something to do with the mix of GTK and OpenGL, but I can't be sure of that, as I can't pinpoint the source of the problem...

Is this behaviour something one of you has already met ?
Is there a cure? :-p
