Thanks for the detailed reply; I pretty much agree with all your points;
I'll change these things and will include this in the hal patch. Btw,
the volume:// URI scheme should probably be proposed on freedesktop.org
too so the other VFS systems on the free desktop can benefit (with hal
or udev or similar OS services available it's a walk in the park to
implement).
