Hey Carlos, Here's a patch that makes the GTK+ gvfs file chooser backend correctly use the volume monitor and make it act like the Nautilus places sidebar. Which is how the gnome-vfs GTK+ file chooser backend in libgnomeui currently works. Notably - unmounted media is shown and if you double click, it will be mounted - if a drive isn't polled it is shown and double clicking it will initiate a media scan - the correct icons are used There's a screenshot here http://people.freedesktop.org/~david/gvfs-hal-filechooser.png I've attached the patch to this mail.
