For what it's worth, the mingw environment available in Debian
(unstable/testing) has recently moved from mingw.org to mingw-w64; the
motivation for this is mainly to cross-compile wine-gecko, but I've
successfully[1] cross-compiled GLib, D-Bus and dbus-glib with Debian's
mingw-w64 environment.

[1] In the sense of "it builds, ship it!" - it all compiles, but I haven't
tested the results on real Windows, and many of the D-Bus tests fail under
Wine. I haven't investigated it enough to know whether to blame the
toolchain, Wine or D-Bus.
