Wow - those are two loooong threads. I don't mind adding to the bug
report Murray - but to be honest, it looks like people are already
getting jaded after 4 year's worth of debate there :-(
Basically... somebody has removed some glib functions without thinking
about the knock-on effect it would have for glibmm. In Win32 they were
essentially 'placeholders' but they were still needed, if only to ensure
that glibmm would compile. And I guess there could be ramifications too
for anyone writing a cross-platform app.
So what needs to happen here? Do the placeholder functions need to get
put back? Or does somebody need to flag this up to the glibmm team so
they can accommodate the change at their end? Thanks.
