Hello list:
In an interview a while back with someone from Eazel, I heard that offering
services is an important part of the Eazel business plan. I see online disk
space and application installation are two that are listed currently on the
web site. My question regards the application installation service.
Currently it looks like a nice GUI on top of a package manager that installs
some of the many free Linux apps. It seems natural to me that Eazel would
also offer commercial non-free app installation via this mechanism, and
could collect a fraction of the transaction. Does Eazel intend to do this?
If so, will there by any program through which ISVs can sign up to
distribute their apps via such a mechanism? Any details?
Hope this is the right forum. Sorry if this is documented somewhere, but I
didn't find it.
Thanks,
