I think what was proposed was a sort of 'File SideBar' (which could be placed
anywhere in Nautilus (top, bottom, left, or right). You would move or 'copy'
files into this sidebar where they would reside until you decide to take them
out again. This sidebar would be very 'similiar' to a Trash folder (except you
don't 'Empty' it).

I think this was proposed by Seth (IIRC). Nobody wrote the code though
