Hi,

I just saw the "reset.png" hack again in gnome-terminal. It's
spreading!

If we are going to spread this around it really needs fixing. Is the
issue that whoever implemented this didn't know how to do it
correctly?

The way to do it correctly is to have a magic drop type, 
such as x-gnome-reset-background or something. 
Then, if the user drags the Reset icon, you offer that drop type
instead of the filename or image type you are currently using. 
On the drop side, you advertise that you can accept both
x-gnome-reset-background or a filename/image. And you see which one
you received, and act accordingly. It's really not harder to implement
than the bad hack. ;-)

That works AFAIK anyhow. We should not copy the reset.png thing into
any more apps, please!
