it also makes changing the image change the icon in the .desktop rather than the metadata, so that the panel will see that icon.
some notes:- if the .desktop is read only, changing the icon doesn't fall back to changing the metadata
- nautilus_file_can_rename() should probably check _can_write() for .desktop files, as the rename really just changes the .desktop file
