We have bug #131665 open for that very reason. When i view an 
automounted directory with nautilus, i do not want the mount to time out 
and nautilus close the window (or revert to $HOME, as with 2.4.1).
I just checked with 2.4.2: Nautilus keeps displaying the directory, so 
if i click on a file, the automounter mounts the directory again.

I think it should stay that way, the window should *NOT* be closed, in 
which case bug #131665 could be closed instead ;-)

Summary: Nautilus should *either* prevent unmount *or* keep window open.
