When i say small, i mean file size in bytes. Not resolution.

But isn't the problem that nautilus still does some kind of runtime thumbnailing? If the file itself was displayed it would be larger than the rest of the thumbnails. I think that when nautilus displays the real image instead of creating a thumbnail it should try to only scale the image to the displayed size of the default thumbnails.
