Hi All,
José, wonderful was read your first impressions, and gave me an
inspiration for an idea in Hungary.
I'm have got similar question, because I see partial good Remmina result
for José first post:
If anybody in Remmina using Spice protocol, and both two machines using
Linux and Orca, possible connecting the second machine from the first
machine in Remote Desktop connection, possible browse the second machine
content with Orca, similar with José experienced from he's Linux machine
with the Windows machine destination?
If my english always not perfect, I trying writing understandable, but
my primary language is hungarian language, and perhaps I writing my
sentence from hungarian language logical grammatic order. :-):-)
So, I describe what the problem and the hungarian mentor community what
would like doing (future) for example in Hungary, if the remote desktop
session accessible with Orca side for the spice protocol in Remmina:
Some time me and more blind advanced hungarian Linux mentor community
users would like teaching, helping and mentoring beginner Linux users
from remote if the beginner users do a fatal mistake for he's own
system, with temporary have only possibility the mentor fixing, because
the user not always yet have enough knowledge to fix he's doed critical
mistake.
Few trivial examples, with we very often need provide helping for the
beginner user to resolve this trivial issues:
A very triwial example a wrong dependency problem if the user download
any deb package from the internet, trying installing the deb package
with sudo dpkg -i command, and missing a required dependency. The user
not yet knoving for example the sudo apt-get -f install command.
An another trivial example a terminated upgrade, for example with
happened due to a power failure (this is more often happening, easy to
fix usual without data corruption and data loss). If the system booting
to provide the remote desktop client, the mentor easy fixing this type
issue with few easyer commands, without the user have data loss or need
doing a total unneed full system reinstall.
Of course the mentors doing the help support in hungarian mentoring list
with free time, and without free of charge, usual more mentors free time
always reading a list letter, and will provide help for the user. In
hungarian mentors list we provide this type support since 2008 for
hungarian beginner blind Linux users.
If future we have possibility to use remote desktop this situations the
remote computers until resolve the fatal doed mistakes (if the beginner
user doed a relative bad issue with he's own system with possible
resolve only if have enough advanced knowledge), this is a fantastic
possibility in future in world wide level for the blind community,
if in future have possibility to provide accessible remote desktop with
Orca side the spice protocol and provide this way accessibility support.
So, future we have more easyer thing if accessible the remmina session
with Orca for example the spice protocol, this situation the mentor fix
the issue with beginner user machine the remote desktop, and teaching
the user he's what doed prewious wrong, why wrong he's doed previous
commands, and what commands need he doing future to prevent the issue.
If we not have possibility to use remote desktop, w need write more
letter the mailing list until the user succesfully fixing the issue.
When I very old time tryed Remmina, if I remember right impossible
Remmina establish an Orca accessible Linux remote session, so possible
this is already changed and this issue already fixed.
With my home own purpose me enough to use SSH when manage an another
machine (for example if I administrating my wife machine until my
machine running a longer background disk build process). If this
situation I using -X option, I have possibility to run graphical
programs he's machine session (hopefully remember right the command line
option).
Vhen I installed few Vagrant box in 2021, I tryed VNC client, RDP
protocol, but I not experienced succesfully result. Of course if I
booted direct the Qemu disk image, Orca ran's succesfully the real
virtual machine.
Because the beginner remote users machine not awailable with SSH, more
often in hungarian mentor mailing list we writing only from the users
problem description what commands need running the user to fix he's doed
mistake with he's system.
Possible only I simple not have enough knovledge with remote desktops
related yet (if this is the case, me not surprise this). :-):-)
Vojta, because you already Used Remmina for example with RDP protocol to
connect a remote windows machine with ran's NVDA, you not have any ydea
this remote sound issue related?
I sure I doing a thing wrong. :-):-)
I see in orca-list list thread your 2017 wrote letter (I think your
letter subject is „Linux full-time”, you wrote this letter with Tue, 23
May 2017 06:02:40 +0200).
In my Linux virtual machines I using qemu too, and graphical output
driver the -vga switch I using the vmware driver.
The Vagrant boxes I using the libvirt backends.
Me have an ARCH based full accessible .qcow2 disk image, but have a
Debian 11 Qemu VM too. Both two systems are Orca works perfect, so if I
ran the virtual machines with full screen, the systems is accessible.
So, I need only resolve in RDP protocol level the remote sound related
issue if this is possible, I very old tryed Remmina.
Attila
