So a few questions from me, I can't seem to figure out how to do two or three things in Plasma.
1. How do I set things to autostart if I can't use the menus?
2. I forgot if there's a way I can install just
what I want, without the whole KDE suite of apps or not, I know
what I want on top of Plasma-desktop, but not sure if it'd break
stuff to only install one or two things
3. With the work on konsole, will that be released
independent of a new Plasma build, given that 5.26 is stated to
be the last major 5.X Plasma release
Howdy, Chrys. Navigating the panel and plasma does work quite nicely. Question though you mentioned OCR desktop. Are there directions for installing that in ubuntu? I see them as well as packages for arch, but that’s it. Any help would be greatly appreciated on getting that going on Ubuntu 22.04. For your information. you can focus the panel with "Meta + P" there you should be able to navigate with arrow keys (left right) between all available plasmoids (notification area, network and so on). // Once I am in here, I hear layered pain, but no speech other than that. Is there something I need to do to make these other items speak? Also, how do I shutdown my system from Plasma? The settings window (KCM - KDE Control Module) still has a lot of accessibility issues. so this needs to be fixed codewhise. some panes are already available. some are not working yet. this is because its a mixture of technology's. the panels what are using QT widgets directly will work. the others are using QML. those are currently not able to proxy the accessibility information (special the active focus). but its on my priority list :). for now maybe OCRdesktop can help a little. for those who wanna test the current state of KDE development, you can check out my latest blog on patron.: https://www.patreon.com/posts/test-of-current-72147479 cheers chrysAm 12.10.22 um 01:59 schrieb Guy Schlosser via orca-list: Hi all: Just because I'm a little curious, I gave the beta of Plasma 5.26 a spin. Here's what I've found so far. 1. I was able to start a plasma session using Lightdm and press alt+super+s to launch Orca after a few seconds. 2. Pressing alt+f1, allowed me to browse the kick-off menu and can launch applications 3.
