OK but still will be good to know some details about this case.
Does't mattes about this case but CorrectWay(tm) for prevent for using
some minimal version automake tools is plugging in main Makefile.am
line:

AUTOMAKE_OPTIONS = 1.7

and for example for autoconf by add in configure.{ac|in} lile with:

AC_PREREQ(2.53)

but .. still we don't know some neccessary details.
