I believe it's fair enough to apply those work-arounds for bugs, as long
as they're clearly marked and #ifdef'ed out for working versions. Ie.
all that's needed is a bit of configure.in hackery. If the issues are
already fixed in gst 0.6.0.3 (0.6.1-pre), I'd rather have the hacks
punted.
